Capital i3 was founded by a dedicated police officer with 28 years of service and more than six years devoted specifically to community engagement. Through decades of working on the front lines and building trusted relationships with Baltimore families, it became clear that many challenges facing youth and parents stemmed from a lack of positive guidance, resources, and meaningful connection.
Often at no fault of their guardians, today’s society lends to a weakened familial strucuture.
Inspired by these firsthand experiences, Capital i3 was created to bridge the gap between families, young people, and the communities they live in. We believe real change starts with understanding, mentorship, and consistent support. Our mission is to inspire, influence, and impact minds by empowering youth with confidence and direction, equipping parents with tools and support, and strengthening the bonds that help communities thrive.
At its core, Capital i3 is about unlocking potential—helping families grow together, fostering resilience, and creating pathways for young people to make positive choices that lead to lasting success.
We work with young people and their families in Baltimore to encourage positive change, offer structure, and help build stronger relationships at home and in the community. Our programs focus on support, guidance, and real-life growth.
We connect young people with caring mentors who help build confidence, life skills, and positive goals for the future.
We guide parents with useful tips and support to strengthen family bonds and handle daily challenges together.
We bring youth and families together for local events and projects that create stronger connections and build a caring community.
This program grants youth the opportunity to discuss personal matters they are facing, have faced or may face in the future. Providing a safe space for youth where they can open in dialogue and receive constructive positive responses that hopefully broaden their understanding and embrace different methods on how to handle difficult situations. Inside of the program we also take educational field trips: college tours, museums, farms, as well as your usual fun activities like: bowling, movie nights, main event (Arcade), paint ball and more.
We’re focused on delivering meaningful results for the people we serve. This is what we’ve delivered for our community.
